Jack,
I was glad to come across your website. Here is my story.

I am a 35year old male, and I used to have some Hemorrhage but get over it in a weeks time. This time it started when I went bicycling I got constipation then bleeding and I did not pay much attention. It got worse after a few days then severe bleeding (2-3 table spoons of blood) and terrible pain. I'll not explain the pain part because anyone reading this know about it. I always get unlucky when I go to a doctor (from my past experience) so I avoid Docs at all costs but the pain was so unbearable that after a bad morning experience I went on the net to check for doctors I came across your site which gave me more hope to try something different myself and avoid a doc.

I tried many things including neosporene to heal the wound but here is something that worked for me. I went to the potty in a squatting position and pushed the bottom portion of each buttocks up, what ever it did it helped the muscle relax or open up more I don't know I was able to poop without much bleeding, I could see a streak of blood on the poop but only a few drops afterwards. I felt much better the whole day not much pain. Today I tried the same no bleeding I feel normal now. I am going to try this for a week and hopefully get cured. After I came to work I remembered your website and thought I'll tell you my story so it might help someone.

Jack,

I am confident what I am doing has helped me because it has been completely cured even though I am still continuing to use stool softener and going to the bathroom the same way, I will probably continue this at least for a month, I am not taking any chances even If I have to do it this way for good.

Here is what I am doing

I squat on the pot. The feet is on the seat and the knees fully bent, calf muscle against the thigh muscle. I hold both the bottoms with my hands not like separating them but more like pushing it up, I feel there is a sweet spot where it works, it just opens up and things go smooth no blood no pain. It may not be practical for all but a smaller built person will be able to try it. Please do add this to the random information part till some one else finds this to work.

Jack,

It's me again, I guess I spoke too soon. Things worked well as I mentioned in my email so I started to go back to normal way of life, irregular diet long work hours without water.... I had one "one" hard BM and it did not hurt much but bled like crazy, the bleeding reduced every day but the pain started to get worse, I had a couple of terrible spasm after a BM it was so painful that I was lying on the bathroom floor sweating and no energy even to call out for help it lasted for ~10 minutes but I will remember it for life, so I decided to go see a doctor and if required to get surgery done. I called all the Colon and Rectal surgeon in my insurance list and picked the Doc who would see me ASAP (I found one in Stanford who said I could get an appt. if I could be there in an hour). I nervously waited for three hours in the waiting room to see the doc who spent a few minutes with me and recommended that I take sitz bath 3 times a day and change my diet and come back after six weeks for follow up. It has been three weeks, I eat a lot of fibers, Metamucil 3 times a day, drink a lot of water and have a heavy dinner so I don't have to put a lot of pressure in the morning for BM. My bottom is on fire the whole day and feels better at night and restarts after BM in the morning. I visit your site more often and get encouraged by reading the posts of folks who are cured. Literally I can feel their pain. I also feel a little better that I could share the pain by writing to you.
