I thought you might be interested in what worked for me. My doctor gave me suppositories for a chronic superficial fissure that kept getting infected. I found them very messy, and so runny that they just weren't around long enough to work. I tried baby wipes but they made it itchier. I then tried Penaten baby creme, which is not available in the U.S. but is available in Europe and Canada. It is far thicker than anything in the U.S. and its active ingredients are Hamamelis and Zinc. It heals, stops itching, and seems to have a mild anti-infection ingredient. Best of all, it will stay on all day. Thanks for your page!
